Every year, in the lead up to ANZAC Day, we remember the brave, the fallen and the courageous as well as those who are still protecting our freedom and sacrificing time with their families for our country.
This year, WAOSA would like to share the ANZAC Ode, read in Nyoongar language by Professor Len Collard, to pay respect to all ANZAC men and women who served and continue to serve our country, including the many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander servicemen and women.
You may wish to include this reading of the Ode in your ANZAC services this year at your schools (if culturally relevant). We thank and acknowledge AIATSIS (Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies) and Professor Len Collard for sharing their knowledge and culture with our communities.
