From Page to Stage
28th March 2026
How does classroom music become performance?
Every wondered how to turn that rhyme/song from a book into a performance?
From Page to Stage is a professional learning event grounded in the principles of Orff-Schulwerk, exploring how music found in books, scores, or classroom resources can be shaped into engaging performance experiences. Through active music-making incorporating movement, speech, and ensemble work, participants will investigate ways to develop written musical ideas into performances suitable for sharing with parents, assemblies, and concert audiences.
Following the event, WAOSA will be holding the annual AGM. For more info: https://www.waosa.org.au/services/agm2026/

Tina Beh
Tina began teaching music in Secondary schools, and in the last 16 years has worked as a Primary classroom music specialist. Most of those years were at Pine Community School, a play-based, democratic, community school on the northside of Brisbane, QLD. Tina is now living in Fremantle, WA, and working at Bannister Creek Primary School.
Tina discovered the Orff approach when she enrolled in Level One in 2010. It gloriously fulfilled her need to connect core values and intentions in a learner-centred, playful, classroom space with practical, joyful, music-making activity and movement. Completing all four levels of the Orff Schulwerk Teacher Training Courses has greatly supported her ability to facilitate joyful, inclusive and collaborative music-making spaces with people of all ages. Tina has facilitated participatory music spaces in the broader school community, at various National and International education conferences, and led a women’s community choir in Brisbane for many years.
Tina served as Vice-President of QOSA in 2022 – 2023 until her move to WA. She is very glad for the opportunities to present for WAOSA. She is passionate about creating opportunities for the creative and playful Orff Schulwerk approach to be accessed and experienced by all.

Amy Hall
Amy is a passionate music specialist at West Leeming Primary School who believes in the power of music to support children’s social, academic, and emotional wellbeing. She spent six years in Shanghai, China, working as both a teacher and professional musician, performing original bilingual children’s music. Amy brings this rich experience to her teaching, where she delights in sharing the joy of music and encouraging each child’s best self to shine. Since being introduced to Orff-Schulwerk at Levels in 2019, she has embraced the approach wholeheartedly and can’t imagine teaching music without its creative, child-centred foundation.
Andy Stewart
Andrea (Andy) moved to Perth, from Zimbabwe, in 2008 and wasintroduced to the world of Orff at a one-day PD, after meeting the then Vice President at a dinner party. Before she knew it, she was on the WAOSA committee as the Orff West Editor and later held the Executive role of WAOSA President. Andy has completed her Orff Level’s and had the joy of completing David Spurgeon’s Dance course in Sydney. Andy has a particular interest in Dance and Creative Movement, and she has presented on this subject at many WAOSA workshops. Andy is currently the Junior School Music Co-ordinator at Iona Presentation College.
